Aurora - Paola Marzotto in dialogue with science
Civic Aquarium - Milan (MI)
From Friday 10.04.2026 to Sunday 8.11.2026
L'Milan Civic Aquarium presents an exhibition where the photographic research by Paola Marzotto meets the rigour of popularisation of science. Promoted by the Municipality of Milan - Culture, the project explores the fragility of glacial ecosystems, fitting into the multidisciplinary pathway TRACKS. The works depict the’Antarctica and polar environments as natural archives of planetary memory, preserving traces of human activity among the ice. Paola Marzotto, journalist and founder of Eye-V Gallery, uses the artistic nature photography to raise awareness of the environmental awareness, avoiding rhetoric and focusing on the essence of the link between man and the biosphere.
The exhibition, part of the Milan Art Week, is developed in thematic sections analysing the composition of ice and the impact of microplastics. The route is enriched by contemporary finds, search tools and scientific objects that dialogue with the images to activate an emotional and rational dimension. Thanks to the collaboration with AdMaiora, the exhibition transforms the remote landscape into a sensitive surface that reflects our everyday actions. A visual and cognitive journey that invites reflection on the regeneration and the protection of the global natural heritage through educational workshops and conferences with experts in the field.
