The exhibition Nanda Lanfranco. Artist Portraits represents a fundamental moment for the valorisation of the Nanda Lanfranco Fund, kept at the CRRI - Rivoli Castle Research Centre. Officially established in 2025, this valuable archive includes more than 200 archival unitsranging from original hand-written prints, slides, photocolor, negatives e digital files. The exhibition offers the public a selection of over 30 original black and white prints, focusing on portraits of artists that have marked the exhibition history of the Rivoli Castle.
Nanda Lanfranco has been a constant and silent presence, able to use the medium of photography to construct a deep dialogue with the protagonists of art while they were engaged in creative work within the rooms of the Museum. Each shot was personally selected by the author when she was alive, guaranteeing an exhibition itinerary that restores an extraordinary attunement of affections and emotions. The installation, curated by the CRRI, highlights the long-standing relationship between the photographer and the establishment of Rivoli-Turin. The initiative also benefits from collaboration with the international trade fair The Phair | Photo Art Fair, which chose one of Lanfranco's shots as the guiding image for the edition. 2026, emphasising the importance of this body of work in the panorama of the Italian photography.
