Guided tour of the exhibition during the final days of opening Play – video games, art and beyond

The exhibition explores video games as the “tenth art form”. Throughout the exhibition halls, digital canvases by the great masters of video games engage in dialogue with famous masterpieces from the past and present, inviting us to reflect on the new aesthetics, cultures, languages, politics and economies of the 21st century. For the first time ever, visitors will be able to admire the influences of the great masters of the past – such as De Chirico, Hokusai, Calder, Dorè, Savinio, Piranesi, Kandinsky, Warhol, but also Hellenistic vases from the 6th century BC – on the aesthetics of video games such as Ico, Monument Valley, Rez Infinite, Okami and Apotheon.
