Antonellian heritageThe legacy that becomes experience
Antonellian Network. Culture that unites: a journey through architecture, history and landscape to rediscover Alessandro Antonelli and its works in the Piedmont region.
The project, at its first annuality, and promoted by Piedmont Region, is realised by Museum Subscription, in partnership with Piemonte dal Vivo Foundation e TRG Foundation.
With over 30 appointments including guided tours, special openings, field trips, and many dedicated contents, it will be possible to experience a’widespread cultural experience discovering the places in Piedmont where Antonelli lived and worked.
The rich calendar is possible thanks to the collaboration of more than 20 partners involved.
From Dome of San Gaudentius in Novara, in Villa Caccia in Romagnano Sesia - today home of the MEV, Historic Ethnographic Museum of Lower Valsesia -, at Sanctuary of Boca and the darkli in Ghemme and Maggiora - respectively the scurolo of the Blessed Panacea and the scurolo of San Agapito - up to the Mole Antonelliana, the project offers an opportunity to discover the territory and Antonelli's legacy with new eyes.
The architect. Alessandro Antonelli (1798-1888) was the visionary architect who redefined the horizon of Piedmont. Famous for the boldness of the Mole in Turin and the Dome of San Gaudenzio in Novara, he was able to fuse neoclassical aesthetics and cutting-edge engineering. His search for verticality and lightness makes it a pioneer of modernity.
Via podcasts, insights and guided and theatrical tours of the territory, Abbonamento Musei takes you on a discovery of the Antonellian heritage.
