The exhibition Lustre and luxury from Islamic Spain intends to present in the MAO Gallery dedicated to the art of the Islamic countries of Asia a targeted selection of works from public and private collections (fromInstituto Valencia de Don Juan of Madrid, of Bruschettini Foundation for Islamic and Asian Art of Genoa, from Palazzo Madama - Turin Museum of Ancient Art and from Moshe Tabibnia Gallery of Milan), which are placed in dialogue with those in the permanent collections of the Museum of Oriental Art. Fine carpets e textile fragments e Hispano-Moorish ceramics of different origins dated between the 10th and 16th centuries, capable of transporting the visitor to little-explored territories, open up different trajectories of knowledge and reflection and highlight the relationship between the European Hispanic and Islamic worlds in the context of the Mediterranean.
