FUORIPISTA. art, sport and winter
stoneware art 671 - Bergamo (BG)
includedFrom Wednesday 12.11.2025 to Sunday 8.02.2026
The exhibition FUORIPISTA. art, sport and winter invites the audience to an engaging reflection on the’mountain imagery, of the winter sports and their relationship with the’contemporary art and the visual history. Inside the art 671 stoneware spaces, contemporary works and historical works - paintings, installations, photographs, video, archive materials - tell how the mountain is a place of desire, exploration e discovery, but also a changing landscape, a sign of the challenges of the climate crisis and thesocial and technological adaptation.
Important international names alternate with emerging artists: from Pieter Bruegel to Andreas Gursky, from Carlo Mollino to Laura Millard, from Randa Kherba and Ludwig Berger, from Walter Niedermayr and Kari Medig to Italian artists such as Giovanni Betti and Katharina Fleck. For the first time, gres art 671 commissioned a’unpublished work to Masbedo, a work to Studio Numechi and a research work to Studio Folder.
The exhibition route leads through the microstories of snow, intertwining them with the culture of winter, the desire for off-piste, the architectural dimension of the mountain, the evolution of sports design and the use of technology to investigate environmental and social changes. Curated by 2050+ together with gres art 671, with exhibition design also by 2050+. Promoted by Fondazione Pesenti with the contribution of Italmobiliare, in the context of the ’Cultural Olympiad“ linked to the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The exhibition enhances the architectural space of the exhibition centre, an urban regeneration project that brings into dialogue art, architecture and community.
