Temporary exhibition
Antonio Sant'Elia. Futurist visions between Como and Milan
ADI DESIGN MUSEUM - Milan (MI)
From Saturday 8.11.2025 to Monday 8.12.2025
Two prestigious institutions, the Pinacoteca Civica di Como e the ADI Design Museum in Milan, host a double exhibition dedicated to Antonio Sant'Elia, protagonist of the’futurist architecture. The project, curated by the Como Municipal Museums and theBrera Academy of Fine Arts, represents the first stage of a three-year initiative aimed at documenting and enhancing cultural heritage through search e digital design.
The exhibition explores the link between the real city and urban utopia through a selection of 24 original drawings (10 in Como and 14 in Milan), dating from 1913-1914, preserved in the Pinacoteca. These works - industrial buildings, power plants, stations and infrastructure projects - return the futuristic vision of a dynamic city, based on the mobility, interconnection and transport modernity.
The Como exhibition is enriched by a interactive workstation which, through the’artificial intelligence, allows visitors to transform their sketches into “Sant'Elia style”, as well as a video narrating the places in the city that were a source of inspiration for the architect. In Milan, the drawings are accompanied by a multimedia projection edited by Terminus Digital Art in collaboration with Epson.
The exhibition is completed with side events, including one creative walk in Como (“La Como nuova di Antonio Sant'Elia”) and the screening of the film The New City in Milan. An engaging exhibition that combines history, innovation e technology, paying tribute to one of the most visionary figures of the early 20th century.
