A fascinating journey into the heart of the Ancient Turin through the eyes and hand of Francesco Corni, artist extraordinaire known for his detailed plates in Indian ink. The exhibition Inky rascalities, set up in the atmospheric spaces of the under the churchyard of the Diocesan Museum, presents about 25 original drawings rarely exhibited, offering a valuable opportunity to discover or rediscover the talent of Corni, capable of combining historical research, technical precision e dissemination skills.
The exhibition is divided into three sections: the shape of the ancient city, the evolution of the cathedral area e Turin's first churches, focusing on the historical centre and the ancient quadrilateral of Roman origin. Each table reveals unprecedented perspectives, architectural views and interior cutaways, rendering a visual narrative of rare effectiveness. The artist's approach, defined by Corni himself as a “cunning”reveals a precise intention: to attract the eye, to intrigue, to involve.
The exhibition is also a project of cultural accessibility, thanks to the collaboration with the’IULM University, which enabled the realisation of tactile information panels also for blind and visually impaired people. In parallel, thematic events and conferences will be held, promoting the enhancement of hand drawing as a form of craft intelligence and personal creativity.
