Temporary exhibition
Sports Fever
AEMuseum - Milan (MI)
includedFrom Tuesday 18.11.2025 to Friday 13.03.2026
Sports Fever proposes a visual and narrative journey that interweaves competition, enjoyment e social cohesion through the prism of the sports activities promoted by AEM since the 1950s. The exhibition highlights how sport was conceived not only as an internal competitive practice, but as a identity and relational element capable of uniting workers, strengthening community ties and generating relationships with other companies in the area. The materials on display - unpublished photographs from the AEM Historical Archives, memorabilia donated by former employees and house organ documents The Chilowattora - give an authentic insight into company life: football teams, hiking, swimming, skiing competitions in Valtellina and challenges with other companies make up a collective mosaic of experiences.
The visual story is enriched by sections showing the historical-social context of Milan and Valtellina, offering a mirror of the representation of sport in the local context. The images alternate between moments of athletic effort and moments of conviviality, revealing how sport has become the fulcrum of a corporate project aimed at people's wellbeing. The exhibition aims to restore a shared memory, enhance the affective dimension of industrial culture and stimulate reflection on the role of sport as a factor of social cohesion and identity.
