Evolutions of the contemporary mosaic

Civic Art Collections of Palazzo Marliani Cicogna - Busto Arsizio (VA)

included
From Saturday 25.10.2025 to Sunday 23.11.2025

Ivan Tozzo offers a surprising and engaging artistic experience, in which theancient mosaic art is reinterpreted with a contemporary and personal language. In his works, irony and poetry are interwoven with materials that are carefully recovered and recomposed: screws, bolts, copper wires, scraps of paper, fabrics, pottery shards. The result is a narrative symbolic e sensory recalling the mosaic tradition and thetextile artgenerating works that can be read slowly, inch by inch. The exhibition is curated by Emanuela Rindi and is part of the Textile Octoberenhancing the contamination between techniquesthe creative reuse and the expressive research.

Ivan Tozzo, an artist with a language original and destabilisingmanages to communicate through seemingly ordinary objects a deeper reflection on theexistence, on theidentity and on theimagination. His works, such as Metal Jeans (2022), are examples of an aesthetic that transcends appearance to reveal new visions. The exhibition is hosted in the evocative rooms of the Civic Art Collections of Palazzo Marliani Cicognaa space that for years has welcomed dialogue between contemporary art and historical heritage.
