Merz Foundation - Turin (TO)

From Monday 27.10.2025 to Sunday 1.02.2026
The Fondazione Merz presents the second edition of PUSH THE LIMITSan exhibition project that confirms itself as one of the most significant events for the reflection on contemporary art and its ability to influence the dynamics of the present. The exhibition, curated by Claudia Gioia e Beatrice Merz, brings together 19 international artists - including Heba Y. Amin, Fiona Banner, Rossella Biscotti, Mona Hatoum, Teresa Margolles, Zineb Sedira, Nora Turato - whose works, previously unpublished or recontextualised, dialogue with the museum spaces.
The project stems from the idea of art as regenerationas a force capable of formulating new thoughts and words in a context dominated by conflicts, crises and narratives that tend towards repetition and resignation. With the subtitle Culture undresses and makes war appearthe exhibition highlights the power of art to overcoming limitsshifting the axis of perception and discourse to reveal what is often concealed or normalised.
The artists involved offer different languages - installations, video, photography, performance - that weave around a central theme: the need to deal with the devastating consequences of conflicts and the apparent muteness of politics. In this context, art becomes act of resistance e transformation toolcapable of questioning reality and opening up new possibilities for interpreting our time.
A path of strong impact, which invites the public to confront radical artistic practices and to experience the museum as a space for critical thinking and dialogue.
