Inside the Mirror: Alessandri's Dolls
ALESSANDRI MUSEUM - Giaveno (TO)

From Friday 10.10.2025 to Tuesday 6.01.2026
The exhibition Inside the Mirror: Alessandri's Dolls, edited by Concetta Letooffers an immersion into the pictorial universe of Lorenzo Alessandrivisionary and symbolic artist. The cycle of Dolls, realised between 1959 and 1962is among his most emblematic productions: mysterious figures, puppets without strings, incarnations of thecollective unconscious offering themselves as mirrors of the soul. The Dolls represent passions, vices, virtues, frailties and contradictions of the human being.
For the first time, the exhibition presents a selection of works from galleries and private collections that enrich the museum's permanent exhibition. This nucleus of over two hundred paintings has, over time, broad critical consensusalso gaining the praise of Luigi Carlucciowhich recognised its corrosive and ironic value.
The initiative is promoted with the support of numerous institutions and cultural realities in the Piedmont region, including the City of Giaveno, the Piedmont Region and the Baravalle Foundationand is also made possible thanks to the participation of private sponsors.
Inside the Mirror is a unique opportunity to rediscover one of the most intense and profound aspects of Alessandri's work and to appreciate the richness of the Museum dedicated to hima true treasure chest of local art and cultural memory.
