On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the cult film Back to the Future by Robert Zemeckisthe MAUTO - National Automobile Museum hosts a unique exhibition that interweaves cinema, design and reflections on time. Back to the Future. Prototypes of time, edited by Gianluigi Ricuperatiinvestigates the concept of accelerated and fragmented time contemporary through two emblematic objects: the automobile e the watch.

The exhibition opens with the iconic DeLorean DMC-12 of 1981, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and became a visual emblem of the film saga. Accompanied by original figurines and Italdesign archive materials, the car is flanked by authentic props of the film, such as the TRW keypad and thetime circuit breakerfrom the private collection of Bill and Patrick.

The second section is dedicated to the artist Anri Salawith its twelve digital works of the series Suspendeda powerful reflection on the suspension and fluidity of time. The works evoke the tension between eidos and chronos, between visible and invisiblerevealing the intangible imprint that time leaves on each of us.
