The exhibition Leonardo's reflection focuses on a renaissance triptych of extraordinary importance, offering the public a unique opportunity to explore the complex links between the Piedmontese and Lombard artistic culture of the 16th century. The core of the exhibition is represented by a contemporary, life-size copy of the famous Virgin of the Rocks by Leonardo da Vincistored at the Museum of the Biellese Territoryflanked by two side panels with portraits of Sebastiano Ferrero and its children, today kept in La Marmora Palace of Biella.
The exhibition takes place in two rooms - rooms 11 and 12 of the Art Gallery - and explores the intricate art-historical events surrounding the three panels, highlighting them through the dialogue with works from the permanent collectionsuch as the famous Gaudenzian cartoons by Gaudenzio Ferrari, Gerolamo Giovenone e Bernardino Laninoextraordinary examples of 16th century workshop work.
