The photo exhibition Censin and his workshop tells, through a collection of historical black and white images, the figure of Baptist Vincenzo Bergò, said Censin, blacksmith whose workshop was already active in the early 18th century in the village of Chiaverano. The photographs on display poignantly document theblacksmithingwitnessing not only the ancient and precise gestures of the trade, but also the atmosphere of the workshop, a place of work and memory.

Through shots showing the drill pressthe lathe, the grinding wheeland now-forgotten instruments such as the vindul and theanvilthe exhibition offers a journey through time, returning voice and movement to tools and techniques of a bygone era. It is a tribute to the craftsmanship, tradition and ingenuity that have animated the small local workshops for centuries.
