Rebecca Horn (Michelstadt, 1944 - Bad König, Germany, 2024) has played a fundamental role in contemporary art and a privileged relationship with the Castello di Rivoli, where her works have been present since the museum opened.
His works, such as the iconic intervention at Monte dei Cappuccini among the Luci d'Artista, explore themes such as time, memory, desire, proposing an inseparable intertwining of the human and the mechanical and anticipating issues at the centre of the current cultural debate.
The exhibition is the first Italian retrospective and the first major exhibition after the artist's recent death. During the visit on 17 July, in addition to the exhibition, the historic rooms of the Savoy Residence will be visited, with a focus on the peacock, the symbol of the Infinite, a common thread between past and present.
