Museum of Natural Science
Museo della Tecnica Elettrica
Pavia (PV)

The Museum of Electrical Technology tells the fascinating story of the most important scientific discoveries and inventions related to the study of electricity from its origins to the present day. Unique and original pieces from some of Italy's most important industrial and scientific collections (Enel, Sirti and the University of Pavia) are on display.
Three main collections coexist in the Electrical Technology Museum: Enel (300 objects), Sirti (3028 objects) and the university collection of over 1000 items. Donations from private individuals are periodically added to the main nucleus, increasing the already substantial holdings.
The permanent collections are arranged in five exhibition sections and one thematic section that trace, through a historical path, the main stages of the discovery and exploitation of electricity, from its production to its distribution and use both on an industrial and domestic scale.
*The museum is open by appointment only
