The exhibition This is painting, dedicated to Emilio Vedova and edited by Gabriella Bellirepresents a profound journey into the work of this master of theinformal European. Widow, known for his radical and powerful approach to painting, was able to express his vision of the world through a visual language of intense gestures and signs. The exhibition presents 31 large paintings e 22 works on paperwith loans from Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation and by important institutions such as the Museo Novecento in Florence and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
The visual narrative is divided into eight thematic sectionseach representative of a crucial period in Vedova's career, including his celebrated Plurimi, three-dimensional works in which colour explodes in space. The exhibition explores the link between Vedova's art and his existential reflections, shifting the focus to the pure language of painting, with works of strong emotional impact that embody his creative energy. In one of the highlights, the works in the exhibition confront the theme of "Piranesi Vertigo', vigorously evoking the dramatic nature of Vedova's painting.
