L’ ATLANTE DEI SUONI – LA CITTÀ DI CUMABÒ
includedL'Sound Atlas in Boves is not just a museum, but a profound sensory experience dedicated to the music of the five continents. Ideal continuation of the journey begun in The Sound Factory of Venasca, this space takes visitors on a discovery of the planet's different musical cultures.
Set up in the atmospheric premises of the’former spinning mill Fables, the route boasts a scenography with a strong emotional impact that, thanks to the use of cutting-edge technology, makes each visit unique and exciting. The adventure begins with a spectacular take-off aboard an aircraftA baptism of flight that throws travellers directly into the sound traditions of the Earth.
The journey crosses five continents:
- Africa: where you can let yourself be swept away by the pounding rhythm of the drums.
- Oceania: discovering primordial sounds and instruments.
- America: where melodies melt into movement and turn into dance.
- Asia: to explore the link between mysticism and music and experiment with the use of the pentatonic scale.
- Europe: the cradle of classical music, where every visitor can try their hand at conducting a symphony orchestra.
The final stage takes us back home, to a typical piazza d'Italia, to recognise and listen to the infinite nuances of our country's musical tradition.
The City of Cumabò: music is child's play
(Course for families and children aged 3 to 7)
In Boves, music becomes an adventure even for the little ones. The City of Cumabò is a magical environment where children can actively experience sounds and noises. Here, they learn to listen to nature - from the voice of the sea to the whispers of the forest - create rhythms with their bodies or objects in the kitchen, sing songs and participate in fun movement games.
