Multifunctional queue-clearing kit (prickly pears)

La Triennale Milanin collaboration with the Lavazza Group, presents the installation Multifunctional queue-clearing kit (prickly pears) by Luca Staccioli. This work, visible from today in the Triennial Coffee, follows a series of installations that have explored themes of nature and sustainability. Staccioli's art is known for its denunciation of contemporary consumption and inspiration drawn from nature, with works that often challenge aesthetic and identity conventions.

The Multifunctional queue-clearing kit (prickly pears) is a series of ceramic works representing the transformation of an ordinary object into an organic, totemic form. These new organisms, with their anti-realistic shapes and colours, take their inspiration from prickly pears, symbols of adaptation and natural protection. Staccioli uses metamorphosis to open up new narrative and poetic possibilities.

The installation is part of a project curated by Damiano Gullìaimed at highlighting the contemporary Italian art scene. Luca Staccioli, born in Imperia in 1988 and living in Milan, is a multifaceted artist and researcher, with a career spanning video, photography, sculpture and other art forms. His works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, receiving various prizes and awards.
