CAMERA is the home of Italian and international photography in Turin. It is not only a large exhibition space but also a vibrant centre for visual education, offering a wealth of workshops and events. A centre of excellence in visual studies, it projects visual culture into the future through research and the promotion of our historical heritage.

Launched in autumn 2015 thanks to a broad private partnership, CAMERA - Italian Centre for Photography is a project of international scope deeply rooted in the local community. Its mission is to strengthen the ties between Piedmont and Italy and the world’s leading organisations, promoting visual culture through a open dialogue with artists and institutions.

Conceived as a multi-purpose platform For exhibitions, production, archiving and training, the Centre caters to a a wide and diverse audience. From major exhibitions to workshops, and from talks to educational sessions, CAMERA offers a diverse cultural programme that engages with the public, enthusiasts, professionals and academics, establishing itself as a a focal point and a vibrant hub for exchange.
