Elegance in uniform

The Historical Museum of the Pinerolo Cavalry hosts the exhibition Elegance in uniform: a tale of fashion and military historyorganised by the Pinerolo and Valleys Tourism Consortium together with the Museum itself. The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to explore the connection between women's fashion and military uniforms from 1849 to 1943, through the history of the School of Cavalry, world-famous for the riding method of the Captain Federigo Caprilli.

The exhibition will present around forty garments, enriched by hats, headdresses and corsets. The curator of the exhibition is Laura Tessaris, costume historian.
