Through a rich collection of tools, machinery and archive documents, the Eco-museum preserves and enhances the historical memory of hemp processing, a tradition attested in the Carmagnola area since the 1235. Opened in 1998, the Ecomuseum retraces the stages of the production chain - from fibre to rope manufacture - that in the past made Carmagnola famous as the Hemp empire.
