Centro visitatori del Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso di Rhêmes-Notre-Dame

The Rhêmes-Notre-Dame Visitors' Centre tells its guests a fascinating story: that of the bearded vulture, the largest European vulture, which has returned to fly in the skies of the Gran Paradiso National Park. The visit retraces, in chronological order, all the stages of this story: the dramatic extinction, the small steps towards the exciting return and the hoped-for happy ending: the now stable presence of this particular bird of prey in our skies. The Rhêmes-Notre-Dame Centre also offers the possibility of getting to know all the avifauna present in the Park territories. The Centre has been enriched with a multimedia station, completely no-touch: by entering a new immersive environment you can experience the ascent to the summit of Gran Paradiso in 360° virtual reality: it is Gran Paradiso VR- The experience of Nature. Three Alpine Convention Information Points have been set up at the Park Visitor Centres in the Cogne, Valsavarenche and Rhêmes Valleys.
