includedPerched on a rocky promontory overlooking the valley floor and surrounded by a park of over 50,000 square metres with plant species from all over the world, the castle was erected in the early 20th century by Baron Carlo Maurizio Gamba in honour of his beloved bride Angélique Passerin d'Entrèves.
The marvellous rooms of the residence now house the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta, with more than 1,200 works of painting, sculpture, graphics and photography. Temporary exhibitions and activities take place throughout the year.
Reservation recommended especially on weekends. Reservations can be made at this link (by paying the pre-sale) or on site at one of the tourist offices that are Museum Pass sales points (Aosta, Pont Saint-Martin and Courmayeur). The season ticket holder must always pass by the ticket office before the visit.
Accessibility: For the physically disabled, the secondary access is recommended, from which you are then accompanied to the main entrance. The visit is accessible by lift. Presence of disabled toilets.
