Divine Creatures
Diocesan Museum Carlo Maria Martini - Milan (MI)
includedFrom Tuesday 5.03.2024 to Sunday 14.04.2024
The Diocesan Museum Carlo Maria Martini and the Diocesan Council for Christian Community and Disability present the exhibition Divine Creatures, a photographic project curated by Adamo Antonacci. The exhibition features ten shots taken by Leonardo Baldini, which reinterpret masterpieces of art history from the 15th to the 20th century, depicting episodes from the life of Christ. What makes this exhibition unique is the involvement of people with disabilities and their families, who become the protagonists of the works.
The photographs are not mere reproductions, but real scenes elaborated with scenographic precision and careful direction. The aim is to make people reflect on disability through artistic language, making the performers real protagonists of the work of art. The exhibition is not limited to the display of works, but also includes moments of discussion with people with disabilities, thus offering an inclusive experience and generating a new understanding of beauty and artistic meaning. This project is part of a broader educational journey, promoting accessible culture and demonstrating a concrete commitment to social inclusion.
