CUPOLA DI SAN GAUDENZIO
included
ReducedBuilt between 1842 and 1888, the Dome of San Gaudentius represents - together with the Mole Antonelliana - the pinnacle of the creative genius of Alessandro Antonelli, the greatest Italian architect of the 19th century. The work crowns a monumental complex of extraordinary value: the Basilica, designed in the 16th century by Pellegrino Tibaldi, and the imposing 18th-century bell tower of Benedetto Alfieri. With its 121 metres high, the Dome defies the laws of physics with a bold and visionary structure. Since 2016, the visitor experience has been enhanced by multimedia installations and digital monitors that tell the story of the building through engaging and immediate video content.
