An immersive and surprising experience, Itadakimasu. The hidden stories in the anime kitchen is a journey into nine scenic rooms through the beating heart of the Japanese culture, where food e animation come together in a tale full of emotion, history and spirituality. Edited by Samuel National e Silvia Casini, the exhibition explores the deep connection between Japanese cuisine e souls, highlighting how each dish represents not only nourishment, but also ritual, affection and personal growth.
From the ritual reception in the presence of the kami Inari, to the fascination of bentō carefully prepared each morning, to the intense room dedicated to the rāmen - universal symbol of anime culture thanks to works such as Naruto - each environment offers interactive installations, culinary tutorials, replicas in shokuhin sampuru, original videos e authentic posters taken from masterpieces by Studio Ghibli, Makoto Shinkai, Mamoru Hosoda.
The route winds its way through evocative settings such as the summer matsuri, Christmas atmosphere reinterpreted in a Japanese key, the historical charm of the port of Yokohama and the immersive hall of the’Hanami, where visitors can experience the magic of the cherry blossom. There are also spaces inspired by the Japanese theme cafés, populated by iconic characters and irresistible aesthetic details.
Itadakimasu is more than an exhibition: it is a tribute to the’the art of foodto theJapanese cultural identity and the ability of souls to tell the world with sensitivity and depth. A unique opportunity to discover how a designed plate can warm the heart and ignite curiosity.
