The MUDI - Museo Diocesano di Alba invites the public to discover the historic heart of the city through a rich calendar of events between archaeology, breathtaking views and inclusive narratives. Below are details of the activities scheduled for April and May 2026, with dates grouped by type of event:

45 Metres Above Alba: Bell Tower, Archaeology and Snacks

Experience the thrill of touching the sky of Alba and discover the secrets of the underground in a unique sensory experience. This guided tour allows you to climb up the Romanesque bell tower of the Cathedral to a height of 45 metres, traversing the ancient staircase between the 10th and 12th century towers. After admiring the city from above, we explore the underground archaeological path among Roman and medieval remains, ending the afternoon with a snack of typical products and herbal teas in the rectory garden.

ArcheoMUDI Tour: The archaeologist's tales

Let yourself be guided by the expert voice of those who study the past every day for a fascinating journey into the roots of ancient Alba. A professional archaeologist will accompany visitors through the underground structures of the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, revealing the stories, tools and secrets of the people who inhabited these places centuries ago.

45 Metres Above Dawn + The Treasure of the Cathedral

On the occasion of the Vinum fair, double the discovery with an itinerary that combines the heights of the bell tower with the preciousness of liturgical vestments. In addition to the panoramic climb and snack, participants will be able to exceptionally visit the Treasure Room, which houses silverware, reliquaries and vestments made between the 17th and 20th centuries by master goldsmiths from Turin and the local area.

Everyone at MAB: Sound Tales

Celebrate Mother's Day with a multi-sensory experience that turns reading into a game of sound and creativity. A workshop for children (3-8 years old) curated by neuropsychomotricist Elisabetta Bernocco, where stories come to life through small musical instruments and common objects, concluding with the creation of a gift for mum and a visit to the Museum.

Scutin: Old Langhe novella

Theatre becomes an instrument of inclusion and magic in a performance that draws on the popular legends of our region. Young people from the Social Welfare Consortium stage the story of a skilled commoner in a show that combines acting, theatre therapy and live music, realised in synergy between the Museum, the Library and the Institute of Sacred Music.
