Saturday 04.04.2026 at 11:30-12:45
Sunday 10.05.2026 at 15:00-16:15
After the success in Paris, the major retrospective on Paul Troubetzkoy arrives in Milan with eighty works, including sculptures and paintings, offering an itinerary that retraces the stages of his career: from his beginnings in Milan to his international success in the United States. Born on Lake Maggiore to a Russian prince father and an American singer mother, and trained in the Scapigliatura school, Troubetzkoy made a name for himself in Europe and America for his ability to capture the essence of his subjects. A portraitist of high society, he produced works from life without preparatory drawings, giving bronze a modern immediacy. His style, close to Impressionism, is characterised by energetic modelling and vibrant surfaces, expressing the vitality of the Belle Époque.
