At the Reggia di Venaria, the Giovedì dell'Abbonato (Subscriber Thursdays) continue with special visits to the Reggia with moments of discovery and in-depth study led by the officials of the Consortium of the Royal Residences of Savoy, experts in the historical-artistic heritage, to discover the secrets of a work, a restoration or a new layout.

Thursday 5 March - Special Women's Day Venaria in pink

In the month in which we celebrate Women's Day, the Reggia di Venaria is tinged with pink with a guided tour dedicated to the female gender. We will admire lace, crinolines and precious jewellery, understood not only as decorative elements, but as indicators of status and instruments of self-representation; we will delve into beauty practices, aspects of daily life and norms of court ceremonial, and unveil secrets and gossip.

The route will give voice to the women of the House of Savoy, from the powerful Madame Royale to Queen Anne of Orleans, but also painters, court ladies, laundresses and the goddess Diana, mythical protagonist of the hunting lodge and emblem of the highest moral values, will be at the centre of our stories.
